How about Programming Windows, Fifth Edition, by Charles Petzold? It is published by Microsoft Press (see http://www.microsoft.com/MSPress/books/2344.asp). When I got a copy of this book in 1993-4, It was Programming Windows 3.1, and it was regarded as the Bible of Windows programming. Apparently, it still is. It shows how write Windows programs in C, not C++. It is not really a function reference, i.e., it does not list out the functions and their parameter lists, structure members, etc. It does not regurgitate the official Microsoft documentation; it explains it. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp |
