Category: gcc Group: Known bugs >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 1 Submitted By: Julien Lecomte (julienlecomte) Assigned to: Danny Smith (dannysmith) Summary: MINGW GCC compilation bug Initial Comment: This is very minor, but I'll report it nevertheless. If compiling MINGW gcc with a full compilation path across a mount point, gengtype.exe will fail. To reproduce: - fstab a mount (ie: d:/srcroot /src) - set gcc source in /src/gcc - configure with full path (/src/gcc/configure...) gengtype.exe will fail because it won't find the files (file path incorrect in function parse_file, see lexer) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: SourceForge Robot (sf-robot) Date: 2006-10-02 19:20 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1312539 This Tracker item was closed automatically by the system. Danny ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Julien Lecomte (julienlecomte) Date: 2006-01-10 14:57 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=827175 There's been a misunderstanding... It's not a 'gcc' bug, but rather a bug when trying to compile 'gcc' with an absolute path for the configuration (the --prefix has nothing to do with it). While browsing the wiki today, I found out that it's a known bug (see wiki page: "mingw hosted cross compiler"). To quote the wiki : "When configuring gcc we must use a relative path or gengtype will fail." I went through the gengtype source code, and figured out that the bug might be fixed by passing some argument to gengtype. I'll take a look at it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Earnie Boyd (earnie) Date: 2006-01-09 18:41 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=15438 I don't understand how this is a GCC bug. It is more a windows feature. What did you set --prefix to? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=102435&aid=1400555&group_id=2435 |
