OK, I've finally got hold of another windows (98) machine (OK... so it could only run aleph at 4 fps, but it could run :-), and networked it with my XP box, and it ran fine (ok, so the 98 box wasn't exactly fine, but the XP box was, and that's the main thing! Windows - Windows networking works for me :-). I then networked the XP box back up with my G4 tower, and I got the "five seconds play, one second pause" bug I described before. I networked it to my borrowed windows machine, and it displayed the bug again. Connected my iBook to both windows machines in turn, and both displayed the bug (although it seemed a lot more random and less frequent, don't know whether that is important). Now here's the funny bit... I thought "what the hell", and made a network game with all four... And there was no problem! It was fine! Ran beautifully... So I networked my g4 to my XP box, and the bug rears it's head again. I've just ran a three player game (XP, g4 and iBook) and it ran fine! You've still got those debug logs, right woody???/ I have no idea what's going on here! But to make the above long story short, a one on one game involving windows and mac os x results in my "few seconds pause" bug. windows v windows is fine, mac os x v mac os x is fine. The previous mentioned four together, are fine. 2 x mac os x v windows XP is fine. Sorry... i don't have time to test the other combinations right now (2 x windows v mac), but I am guessing this is fine (do you want this tested). I was going to throw classic into the mix, but i gather this is funky anyway (!?!?!?!) Do you want logs from OK net games to compare woody? I don't know what else to say! Hope this helps?!?!?!??!
