Yup, the language definition is so huge and complex that a single small entity
with a dummy arch takes 2+ minutes to parse.

Hmm, "my" parser was actually derived from an Alliance toolkit way back. I'll
have a second look.

I looked at the VAUL. It's a big thing and clutched togethed from several
projects. I expected the job ripping and cleaning the parser to be bigger than
starting over.
Then I found the current skeleton...
