Category: editor core Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Randy Solomonson (solomonson) Assigned to: Matthieu Casanova (kpouer) Summary: Windows 7 gives FileNotFoundException on Untitled buffers Initial Comment: After a fresh install of jEdit (with the installer) on Windows Vista or Windows 7, the a new untitled buffer is created. Then in about 30 seconds an error appears: Cannot save: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Program Files\jEdit\#Untitled-1# By default Windows protects everything under "Program Files" from writes. Please move the directory used for these files to something like C:\Users\.jEdit. Please consider this a high priority. Having new users see an error in the first minute of use make jEdit look unstable.
