Category: keyboard / mouse Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: jedit -reuseview should bring to front and focus on textarea Initial Comment: Currently, jedit -reuseview does not bring its view to the front or focus on textarea. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Date: 2010-09-09 20:33 Message: Steps to reproduce: start jedit. switch to a command shell window. type "jedit blah.txt". (where your jedit.bat or script has -reuseview as a parameter) jedit should be the front window now and I should be able to type into the editor. I notice sometimes with windows XP and only one view, it does behave this way, but not reliably. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Date: 2010-09-09 20:27 Message: Some additional info. On windows, I can reproduce this only if there is more than 1 view active. On linux, I can reproduce this with only one view. Also, the focus seems OK, it's just the fact that the window is not raised to the top. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Date: 2010-09-09 18:34 Message: i tried adding a view.toFront() in EditPane.java line 201 but it had no effect. I don't know why. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=3017656&group_id=588 |
