I just hope you'll consider these features before the next release. I like this plugin very much. Perhaps my UI is a little unusal. It was just something I was kinda looking for. Any mechanism that lets me remove accidentally added/ignored words is fine. For example, if the added and ingored lists are plain editable files (where are they stored, by the way? Document in the user docs please?), then it would be easy to add an action from the plugin that opens those files in a jEdit buffer. Also, your current plugin is an excellent test case that demonstrates a bug in my own plugin, Optional. It seems that I can't see the TextFields in your option pane from Optional, but I can see them from jEdit core. Maybe now I can figure out why optional displays some optionpanes a little differently from the core dialog. I guess you never use the Optional Plugin, do you? :-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Matthew Gilbert (voxmea) Date: 2008-06-23 20:06 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=2017932 Originator: YES I don't have an action for either suggestion yet. If it was ignored, then just restart jEdit. If it was added to the user dict, then you can remove the whole thing by deleting ~/.jedit/user_dict. I'll work on adding the ability to remove a word and add context menu actions. I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to add the missing functionality. Most spell checkers I've used don't give a good way to remove a word from the dictionary (I don't see it in Firefox 3 or Word 2007). Not that the feature shouldn't be there, but, I'd like to release without it. What do you think? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Date: 2008-06-23 12:37 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=935841 Originator: NO Trying it out now. Very cool. Couple of comments. 1. It seems I may have added or ignored a word I didn't want to. Is there any way I can un-ignore or un-add just that word? 2. Is there a way to give smarts to the context menu so it can show the possible actions (add/un-add) depending on whether it was added or not? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=625093&aid=1980902&group_id=588 |
