Initial Comment: When trying to connect to a repository over HTTPS nothing happens (using 4.3pre11). Right-clicking to get info reveals this error message: "svn: Unable to create SVNRepository object for 'https://my.domain.tld/project'" A quick Google turned up this: http://www.nabble.com/HTTPS-connections-t1539605.html which claims you see this error when certain initializations aren't done, but that sounds way too simple... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Dale Anson (daleanson) Date: 2008-05-07 22:49 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=187628 Originator: NO Would someone who can reproduce this please try with the latest release of SVNPlugin? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Date: 2007-12-08 09:32 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=935841 Originator: NO I also can't connect to svn+ssh:// repositories either. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Date: 2007-12-08 09:32 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=935841 Originator: NO I also can't connect to svn+ssh:// repositories either. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Townsfolk (elberry) Date: 2007-12-06 08:08 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1205438 Originator: NO I also had issues connecting to a repository with https. If I put in username/password it didn't work. However, if I left them blank it did. I assumed this was because my machine login is the same as the https login. We're using subversion 1.4.4 and it's not a self-signed cert. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Aaron Fuleki (tsnfoo) Date: 2007-12-06 07:56 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=618585 Originator: YES Also, we are running Subversion 1.3.1 - not sure if that makes a difference. Also, are there configuration issues that are known to be incompatible with the plugin? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Aaron Fuleki (tsnfoo) Date: 2007-12-06 04:35 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=618585 Originator: YES I tried to build the plugin, but ant threw a bunch of errors about missing stuff. I assume I need to check out the core jEdit source as well? Sorry, I build stuff with ant about once a year... When I visit the repository URL with Firefox, I noticed we're using a self-signed cert, which I'm prompted to accept, then I can login. Maybe the plugin doesn't trust the cert? If there's any information that might help you out, just let me know. Thanks for looking into it! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Dale Anson (daleanson) Date: 2007-12-05 21:41 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=187628 Originator: NO This method is called before each repository access: public static void setupLibrary() { // For using over http:// and https:// DAVRepositoryFactory.setup(); // For using over svn:// and svn+xxx:// SVNRepositoryFactoryImpl.setup(); // For using over file:/// FSRepositoryFactory.setup(); } I connect regularly to both http and https repositories, so I know that works. I've also connected directly with the file:/// protocol. Others have reported problems with the svn+ssh protocol. I haven't taken the time to test that one properly, but that doesn't sound like your problem. Is it possible for you to post more detail about the repository you are trying to access? Is it possible for you to try the latest version of the SVNPlugin from jEdit's plugin subversion repository? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=565475&aid=1845170&group_id=588 |
