Sarah, I get similar problems with all Java programs under Windows XP. It seems, like you, that they don't occur after a fresh boot, only after the PC has been through a suspend-resume cycle (standby or hibernate). In my case, it appears that running the DirectDraw tests in Dxdiag.exe will get rid of the problem until the next suspend-resume (no idea why, but this process must 'reset' something). I am confident this is not a jEdit bug since it affects many Java applications, but I have not been able to fix it with new video drivers or any other means (short of switching to Mac or Linux, neither of which show this problem). I hope this helps (but fear it may not :-^ ) Jonathan Murphy |
