Plugin developers, I've made a few minor changes to http://plugins.jedit.org/releasing.php. Basically they reflect the fact that the CVS repositories have been frozen. As a result of this, we ask that when providing a plugin release, you actually tag the release. While the SVN release number will uniquely identify the code to be released, our packaging scripts can't use that, and it's far less useful historically. Please provide an actual tag; we've been doing it, but it would help quite a bit if you did it yourselves, AND you get to ensure the naming convention is one you prefer. Tagging in SVN is similar to: svn cp -m 'release 1.3' https://jedit.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/jedit/plugins/ShortcutDisplay/trunk https://jedit.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/jedit/plugins/ShortcutDisplay/tags/release-1-3 Also, I put out a call for help. I would like to automate a bit more of the packaging process and need some PHP/MySQL help. I need someone who can create an automated process to take a file upload and/or text pasted into a web form, parse it, and put the results into a database. If interested, please let me know. Thanks, Jeff -- They that give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither. |
