The behavior you are seeing does not surprise me - it is probably a bug. I have not used console in interactive mode very much yet - it's still a relatively new feature. In general, I use console only for builds and other batch-oriented things where I need error parsing - I prefer "Konsole" (in KDE) for my interactive shell sessions. I suppose someone would have to put more work into the Console to improve its interactive behaivor. Volunteers?
