Tried to submit a bug on sf, but it's forcing me to reset my password, and then errors out when I actually try to do that (so I can't log in). I use sftp access with an ssh key, and recently noticed in pre6 that if I leave a lot of files open when I quit, when I reopen jEdit, the password boxes stack up on each other causing focus issues and other hass= le. The main problem is that even if I can get around the focus issues to find out which box jEdit is expecting input from, the ssh key passphrase prompt never seems to come up at all. Keep in mind that this is all before the main jEdit window opens up, and only when dealing with multiple "auto open" files that were open before jEdit was last quit. The only solution at the moment is to click the cancel button and lose the history of which files were open (since it doesn't even put them into the "recent files" menu). Aside from the focus problem with the passphrase box, wouldn't it be simpler to prompt only ONCE for password info for each key/user+server pair, rather than prompt in an async manner for each file/directory that uses the key? (certainly would make it easier on me so I wouldn't have to type my key passphrase a dozen times every time I reopen jEdit). -Chris |
