Hi, I just noticed a funky little malfunction in jEdit 4.0.3 running on Windows with J2EE SDK 1.4.1_01. I clicked (accidentally, it turns out) just above the scroll-bar thumb of the main text are of a jEdit view and began to drag (because I meant to hit the thumb). Since I mouse just above the thumb the window scrolled only one page before the thumb was under the mouse. When I moved the cursor (keeping the mouse button held down) into the area above the thumb, the window (and the scroll thumb) began moving _downward_ and continued to do so until the mouse button was released. Once it started this "backward" scrolling it continued regardless of where the cursor was moved (regardless of whether the mouse pointer was within the scroll-bar or anywhere else on the screen) until I released the mouse button. This appears (at the moment, anyway) to be completely consistent and repeatable (I re-created it several times so I could describe the details correctly here). Neat, huh? Randy |
