Is it ok to run more than one jEdit at a time? I've got several Unix (linux, solaris, ..) boxes on which I edit source. Same account and same home directory on all machines (NIS and NFS) so there is only one ~/.jedit. If I try it I get lots of: error] Oct 23, 2002 12:58:08 PM java.util.prefs.FileSystemPreferences checkLockFile0ErrorCode [error] WARNING: Could not lock System prefs.Unix error code 1179186800. [error] Oct 23, 2002 12:58:08 PM java.util.prefs.FileSystemPreferences syncWorld [error] WARNING: Couldn't flush system prefs: java.util.prefs.BackingStoreException: Couldn't get file lock. And not all machines have the same version of jEdit (4.03 and 4.02) as jEdit and java are locally installed. Thanks!
