This only occurs when no jEdit instance is running. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: John Gellene (jgellene) Date: 2001-07-25 07:47 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=117073 The launcher times out after ten seconds if it cannot find the server data file that jEdit creates upon opening. In that event jEdit loads but no data is sent to open a file. So if jEdit takes longer than ten seconds to load, you don't get the requested document. I have lengthened the time out period to fifteen seconds in the next release. The timer routine now allows the desktop to refresh while the launcher waits for jEdit. If you want to receive an updated module now, email me. You might also try putting jedit.jar at the head of your - classpath parameter instead of at the end. Select "Set jEdit Parameters" in the jEdit program group or run "jedit.exe /p" from a command prompt. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: John Gellene (jgellene) Date: 2001-07-25 07:46 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=117073 The launcher times out after ten seconds if it cannot find the server data file that jEdit creates upon opening.
