Hello, I have found that the latest JabRef 2.10 does not start up even though I have installed the latest JRE 1.7 from Oracle on Mountain Lion (10.8.5). When I launch JabRef, I get the following error message: "To open "JabRef", you need a Java SE 6 runtime. Would you like to install one now?" However, the cmd "java -version" in my Terminal shows: java version "1.7.0_67" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_67-b01) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.65-b04, mixed mode) In addition, I have the following in my ~/.bash_profile # Setting PATH for Java 1.7 export JAVA_HOME="/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home" PATH="${JAVA_HOME}/bin:${PATH}" export PATH Does anyone know what causes the error or am I missing something here? Thanks a lot! Best regards, Merton |
