Hello All, Please find below a brief description of the patches that I submitted recently. They have been tested by me in CentOS Linux (KDE 3, JRE 1.6.0) and Windows XP SP2. The first feature has been suggested and verified by a friend of mine in Debian GNU Linux. 1. https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2930230&group_id=92314&atid=600308 Added KOI8-R character set support in Globals (This provides a Cyrillic support in Linux for those users who started to use Bibtex before UTF-8 become widespread). 2. https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2930645&group_id=92314&atid=600308 Disabled '~' replacement in Windows (bug #1661039) to allow the direct import of bibliography entries from the command line via DOS 8.3 short file-name-format that is used, e.g. by Firefox. So, "java -jar JabRef.jar FileNa~1.ris" will now work. However, this would only work for an .exe version of JabRef. Does anyone know how to make Firefox to send a file to JabRef via java (the .bat or bash-file does not help)? This is particularly crucial in Linux. 3. https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2930236&group_id=92314&atid=600308 A further fix to the main window ill-behaviour in Linux related to the bug #1738920. Sometimes, after maximising the main window and closing JabRef (perhaps too quickly), it opens again with the default size regardless of the screen resolution. This patch resolves the problem by decoupling rememberWindowLocation and windowMaximised properties [lines 683-684 in JabRefFrame], and by maximising the frame before setting the stored sizes and position (in case they have been saved incorrectly) [lines 430-432]. I hope this is useful and look forward to a new stable release. Kind regards, Igor |
