Hi Morten, As you ask: It takes more than 1 minute just to open JabRef, more than 30 secondes to open a database with 1000 entries. All functions and not specif one work slow, as expect, and what is special difficult is scrol up and down database entries. computer: 512 Mb RAM memory, 512 gHz speed clock processor (Pentium III), OS Windows XP With you have any question or whant to run a special procediment, feel free for asking. Best regards, Zé Roberto. ----- Forwarded Message ---- From: José Ribeiro <jb...@ya...> To: Morten Omholt Alver <mor...@gm...>; jabref-users <jab...@li...> Sent: Wednesday, February 25, 2009 9:46:54 AM Subject: Re: [Jabref-users] question about limits of entrances in jabref Hi Morten, If I remember It takes time to open the database. Also scroll up and down and search is too time consuming that it is better give up. On two weeks I will be at the lab with this computer I told. Than I could correctly assign what problems and how low memory and CPU capacity it has. Best regards, José. ________________________________ From: Morten Omholt Alver <mor...@gm...> To: José Ribeiro <jb...@ya...>; jabref-users <jab...@li...> Sent: Tuesday, February 24, 2009 7:07:42 PM Subject: Re: [Jabref-users] question about limits of entrances in jabref 2009/2/13 José Ribeiro <jb...@ya...>: > Hi Ulf, > > Not a problem like yours. José, in what ways do you have problems with this? It could be something worth looking into - I wouldn't expect 1000-2000 entries to cause any problems - at least it could be interesting to look for areas for optimization. -- Morten |
