There are a number of useful refbase installations around the world (http://wiki.refbase.net/index.php/Refbase_users), and refbase supports tex-style export for contained database entries.

Being able to search and import a customised refbase install via jabref would be most useful! the feature would allow the user to configure the landing page URL, and through this, jabref can perform appropriate search requests via POSTs, these are parsed, and then in turn used to import the DB entries into jabref.
