Hi, I have several data files which contain only one column (y values) as follows. 162 144 140 122 … I plot the first column in the files as y values by using the command: plot "datafile" using 1 with linespoints The data will be plotted along the x axis at 0, 1, 2, … However, I want to show that the first data is at x = 100, the second data is at x = 200 and so on. If the data file contains two columns for the x values and y values, it should be 100 162 200 144 300 140 400 122 … and the command is: plot "datafile" using 1:2 with linespoints I don't want to modify my data files to contain two columns. I have tried "set xtics 100, 100" but it did now work as expected. How can I plot data with the specified x values when the data file has only one column for y values? Thanks. ps. I can use another file which contains the x values if needed. |
