[Gnuplot-info] what version ?

hi list,
For camparison sometimes i run different versions of gnuplot, lets say 4.0 and 4.2.
When starting gnuplot display a version string. Is there a way to get this information
inside a session. I tried 'help version' but that is the same for every version.
