Ploughed tiles are already graphically distinguished. Unfortunately once the colony on that tile grows to about size 4 and above, the ploughing graphic is obscured.
There is however an easy way to tell if ploughing has occurred. The tile popup will always have an entry for the terrain ("Plains", "Tropical Forest", etc). Click on that and a small box describing the tile in detail will appear. At the top will be the type of terrain ("Plains") plus any improvements ("Plains/Plow/Road").
