    Nice game. For beginners I'd recommend: change difficulty setting to "very easy" and the number of native settlements to "few" - so the game is less frustrating.

    An good and freeware Colonization clone that works on any platform.

    I was always careful to keep my original colonization safe and play it every once in a while. Not anymore. This game is as much fun as the original. It is exciting to see how it further develops. I think the developers should try to include some optional new features, but don't make it messy like OpenTTD addons.

    Free Col is another open source project, that I'm grateful for! This is a game that I play at least once every year. Thank to all developers and contributors. I'm glad that I share one world with You!

    I hate this game - it keeps me up late at night trying to 'win'; and just when I have finally figured out the strategy, it becomes clear there is a deeper level of thought and cleverness that went into the game. Not sure who the devil is that wrote the sourcecode but this game is clever.

    I've been following these guys since 0.6 something I think :) I leave the game but always come back to it, to see the progress they've made in it ... i'm thoroughly impressed with what they've done.

    Under Windows 7: Slow, hangs - takes lots of time - no tutorial and not intuitive playable (although I played the original years ago ..) Nice try, but turned out to be crap ... Deleted it ...
