I'm rolling around in the "Editing Vocal Tracks" tutorial, and there's a behaviour that despratly needs changing(and it's easy too). When SPLITTING or DUPLICATING, the new track should be added beaneath the one where the material is selected. Everything else is highly confusing, as a user may wonder if Audacity has done anything at all as the only visual proof of actual execution of the command can lie in the vertical scrollbar of the window, IF the project has more than two or three tracks already. The same goes for Quickmix, which might create its track where the user is actualy looking. Is this change easy enough to implement for 0.9x-1.0 ? I'd like to include a few small tips that include "Just split it a way, move it around, then Quickmix back together". It would be helpful to the user, not to have to travel with scrollbars to find the material and then UP,UP,UP,UP the track before the user can continue :). A saturday thought. A happy weekend. It's not for sleep you know. Tony |
