[Audacity-devel] patch: show selection durration

I just found audacity yesterday and am quite impressed with it. 

I changed the status line to show the length of the selection in
addition to the start and end points.  I think the change is small
enough that it should be safe to include in both 1.0 and 1.1 so I am
attaching a patch for both versions.  I tested both versions on redhat
7.2 and everything seems fine.
