What is the hold time on this version? Ah yes, I know the version that you've got - it's the one that is on the wiki. The "Hold" is a nice feature in that one, though I would expect that a lot of users would not know what to do with it. The one that I posted is essentially the same as the version formerly known as "brick wall limiter". Although it does not have an adjustable "hold" it has a couple of advantages that I think would make it a better choice as the "shipped" effect, The main advantage is that it is virtually foolproof - it is almost impossible to make this limiter misbehave, even if there are huge spikes over 0 dB it should handle them gracefully. The other advantage of this one is that the behaviour is a bit more typical of what one would expect a limiter to do. The version that has the Hold control also applies a small amount of compression close to the limit threshold, which this version doesn't. This version also handles over 0 dB better. My preference for this version is not only that it is very easy to use, but it is difficult to go wrong with it. In answer to your question, the "hold" in this version is 10 ms (same as the default in the other one).
