I didn't notice the IPv6 issue. I've since created an /etc/gai.conf file
on my system (Fedora 20 x86_64) and added:

precedence ::ffff:0:0/96 100

to it and now can rebase properly. I'll raise an issue at work about our
IPv6 configuration since I shouldn't need to give v4 precedence over v6.
