Re. http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=675 I'd like to propose three additional commands to the Track Drop-down Menu: Move Track to Top Move Track to Bottom Swap Stereo Channels What these commands address: When working with large project, it can be rather slow to move a track a long way up or down and is hindered by the fact that the screen may need to be scrolled several times. It is particularly tiresome for VI users to repeatedly move tracks up or down one step at a time. "Move Track to Top" is particularly useful given that both "Mix and Render" and "Add New Track" always place the new track at the bottom. "Swap Stereo Channels" is a useful shortcut to splitting, moving and (re)making stereo. Hopefully it will also help novice users to understand how "Make Stereo Tracks" works, and if not, then at least if provides an easy and obvious way to correct the mistake if they join tracks the wrong way round. There have been minor changes to the access keys to accommodate the new commands: Move Track Up/Down are now &U / &D rather than &p &D. Waveform / Waveform (dB) are now &v / &W rather than &v / &B Split Stereo Track is now &i rather than &t The full (9 page) discussion leading up to this patch is available on the forum: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=75191 Steve |
