This is putting the cart before the horse - so far I have seen not one report of either successfully compiling Audacity on Windows with Jack support, or the resulting binary being tested by anyone with success. A decision on releases would need adequate test reports before being made. A start for which would be some instructions on how to do it, and an alpha of Audacity with Jack support, so that a non-compiler can get the relevant binaries and test this. At the moment there seems to be a lot of research needed to get this going. Richard |
