Hi... I think translation for Audatcity is really very simple. I don't have any idea about wxWindows and could do all the translation. I only know I have to respect the "%d" and "%f", etc., and have to use the "&" for the letter I want it to be the one used as shortcut, and I guess that's all. I downloaded and installed Poedit, and the rest is all translation. Maybe the rule is : everything you don't understand that seems some kind of sign with a meaning, try to understand what it means to put it in the right place when you do the translation. In my opinion, and with all respect, the percentages would be: 5% knowledge about this strange codes. 20% (maybe) of getting used to the method. 75% good translation (technical words; homogeneous translation between manual program and site; asking for help with string that are too out of context in the .PO file; try to maintain the length of the strings you translate because they may go in some place with a restricted size; and to respect the real meaning of the sentences according with the place they appear in the program). I hope this helps.
