I committed it. > Messages do not distinguish between different plural forms. Would it be > possible to modify the messages to use them? It probably applies to all > messages with %d in them. I take it your issue is that while in English it is acceptable to add "(s)" for a plural alternative, in other languages the plural must be a different word, or there may be different words for different quantities of the noun? So do I assume you want to use ngettext functions e.g. printf (ngettext ("%d file removed", "%d files removed", n), n); as per: http://www.gnu.org/software/gettext/manual/html_node/Plural-forms.html ? If so, I think a developer would have to comment about that. > Would it be possible to add the Slovak translation now to the Windows > version? It seems so that the Windows version of Audacity is used by > quite some middle school teachers for teaching. The teachers should be able to see a Slovak language choice in Audacity's Interface Preferences if they download Audacity from our site: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/windows . We don't modify a release once made, so if the teachers want the complete translation you just made, they will not be able to get that until the next release of Audacity, unless they download the next Nightly Build (09 April) from here: http://gaclrecords.org.uk/win-nightly/ . You must be sure to tell the teachers that those are not released builds, so they may contain bugs. Thanks for your interest!
