Unless it's too simplistic, I believe the Audacity sliders should mirror the system sliders, with particular attention to ensuring that whatever the level of the Audacity input sliders, the amplitude you record in the waveform matches what you saw in the recording VU meters. That leaves the R6034 error when launching Audacity which seems now to be down to about one or two reports a week (was much more frequent). Maybe this was down to pre-release versions of 7, I don't know.
