Being a complete novice with cvs I had doubts as to whether the "patch" would work at all, so I am very pleased that you got it to work. I have already made the suggestion to Tim (the original contributor) that he signs up on the audacity-devel list. "I have a lack of 'undo' for it; would that be possible to fix?" I think that the problem is probably in the patch file rather than the actual code. There are only a few lines of code that have been added to two files, but if the lines are in the wrong place then "undo" does not work. With the lines in the correct place, then undo works - at least it works on my computer. I followed the instructions in the Audacity wiki for making the patch file using "cvs diff -u > patchfile" but perhaps I missed something. http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=SubmittingPatches I'll have another go at making the patch file, but if that is no better then perhaps I could send the modified files to someone that knows what they are doing?
