David-- Yes, that page is one that I looked at. The problem is that a number of menu commands are not included in the Preferences page. "Align Track to Cursor" is one of them. It is, apparently, not assignable. My local help file for 1.2.3 claims that "all of the commands that appear in Audacity" are included in the preferences dialog, while the online doc to which you referred identifies "all commands in Audacity that can be triggered," which is a noticeable difference. Looking through the XML versus the menus, here are the commands that are missing from the Preferences list: 1) Set Selection Format submenu 2) Align Tracks submenu 3) Align and Move Cursor submenu 4) Generate submenu 5) Effects entries 6) Analyze submenu Admittedly, most of these are either not items I'd want to assign to shortcuuts (e.g., Set Selection Format), or items that Audacity can't assign (such as the effects, which depend on plug-ins). However, the Align submenus would be useful to me. Heck, I would be happy with knowing what the Audacity internal command for "Align Track to Cursor" was, and hacking it into the preferences XML and seeing whether I could get it to work. I hope that clears up my concern. David T. --- "David R.
