Also I remember that something like clicking or double clicking on the VU meter reset the line that is drawn at the maximum point the meter has reached, which was usefull in a recording level check. If the VU meter(s) can be active wether or not the program is actively recording it would make the process of getting a track setup to record into much easier. At the moment, (in my computers current boot) the version of audacity that I have working doesn't have the VU meters on it yet so I can't see exactly how it works at the moment, though if tracks that are set to be recorded into when the record button is pressed could have active VU meters it would make checking recording levels easier and also indicate at a glance which tracks will be recorded into. |
