Not cool at all. This is just a problem of game conception. I ( and I think that most of us ) think about Arianne as a world. So your character live there. I want Arianne to be real, in the sense that you are responsible of your actions. I mean that if in the doors of your city there is an army that is going to attack it, the solution would be to create an army with the people of the town to defend it. While on your idea is that the best would be to logout and login later. I really don't like the idea. I see and understand that logged off players would be a problem for bandwidth, we should measure this with real data later. For those of you that are new, we agreed a lot of time ago that characters that aren't played oftenly are removed from the server. So if you create a player and you don't use it in, let say, a month, it is removed from the game, perhaps it is backup or perhaps it is simply deleted. We agreed that we want real death, no just going you along against a better character just to have a good hit and kill him. In Arianne you are responsible of keeping your character alive by not doing stupid actions. About the problem of being killed while logout, I only see as a solution that you group making a group of characters, or having a simple script of actions. Also it can be done to create a safe house proteted by real soldiers, and I mean by human players, let AI aside by now. My idea is to place as much gameplay things as possible on human side. |
