I'd like to re-raise this request. I agree with you that we should always be running the latest version. but how can I know if any given version I have is the latest version if it won't tell me what version it is? Suggestions: An easy fix: you already display build date in the Help | Bugs? Features? dialog. That's the way it has always worked. The idea seems to be that you are looking for a filename that contains a search string. So in your example, it would actually match as if you'd typed in asterisks on both sides of the string (not just before). I think a better solution than changing this historical behavior is to add the standard regex pattern matching of ^ and $ (for matching beginning & end of line) - so for you, you'd use ^ghost.exe or ^ghost.exe$ (to avoid matching "ghost.exe.sav", for example)....
