ESCL driver was tried after latest NAPS verson loaded on one pc. Will verify usb vs lan. Thanks,. Some searching this morning produced: "Microsoft: October Windows update may break Smart App Control" which in turn can break some scanner apps. I wonder if NAPS uses Smart App Control?
Recent Windows 11 update seems to break scanning.
This one is a puzzle. Using Brother's IPrint & Scan, it is fast which to me eliminates the driver. They both use WIA. I'm wondering if somehow the PDF-ability on the pc could be a factor. We are scanning to a PDF. Could the PDF part make the scanner wait? I will investigate that plus the LockSystemProfiles after hours. It does have but one profile though.
Thanks for the reply. To see if I am clear on this. Each pc using NAPS has one created by us profile on it. In that we set feeder, the scanner, dpi, etc. All are the same. I'm assuming the command line approach we employ uses that profile. There is only one profile per install. Is there another default profile overriding that? If so please let me know how to access. Thank-you,
Slow scanning one user. Settings, version, hardware all the same.
