Pros: Clients and independent contractors may find each other with ease on Upwork. Have found great help here but not all of the freelancers.

Cons: Only tasks that appear fraudulent or suspicious, or are obviously designed to swindle the freelancers, need to be filtered out and blocked. Some freelancers are flaky.

Overall: It is still the best freelance market place I have ever worked with would be my summary.
Good platform.

Pros: As an independent accountant providing bookkeeping and tax services to nonprofits, Upwork is one of the channels I use to solicit new business.

Cons: The fees paid to Upwork are outrageous. If they changed their model to give the option to pay just for the matching service and allow people to run everything else outside that would be ideal.

Overall: Overall I’m happy with Upwork due to the many clients I have obtained through Upwork, but the fees I’ve paid Upwork are outrageous.

Pros: Most freelancers use Upwork to work with established clients. Upwork provides secure payment transactions and the best job according to user skills.

Upwork provides many features to users like:
- Find the verified clients overseas.
- Easy to find a suitable job according to the filter section and skills set.
- Upwork allows you to quickly filter the job listings and find the job that fits your preferences.
- Great interface. It is easy to navigate around and find the type of work you need
- Ease of communication (instant chat/call, file sharing).
- Rating and Review.
- The feedback/rating system helps with choosing the right candidate.
- Able to read reviews of others who have worked with the individual.
- Secure payment transaction.
- Followed government transaction rule.

Cons: I want the ability to share folders in addition to individual files. Rest the things are great and satisfied.

Overall: I'm Upwork for 4 years and am fully satisfied with work and payment. Upwork is extremely useful if you require an urgent talent for your project. Upwork is well suited for individuals/startups and small companies seeking outsourced help. I can't think of a scenario where Upwork doesn't work.

Pros: Lots of freelancers available and a robust interface of options to filter them by. Generally the quality is good from work I've had done, but you need to be very specific as to what work you need done and processes.

Cons: Their mobile chat app / interface could use a lot of work. They sometimes unnecessarily ding worker accounts or pause them to validate issues that crop up from their monitoring phrases in chats (or even our account and we've used them for years!), but I also understand it's a quality check and automated software can lead to false positives.

Overall: I've used this platform since before it was combined and was oDesk. Very good workers, just need to be specific on your needs. I actually use their chat interface online over Slack because it's integrated.

Pros: Upwork is an excellent platform for connecting clients and self-employed/agencies.
It very helpful for freelancers to directly work with clients and share the reviews and ratings for the work.
Freelance can create its customized profile to bid on individual projects: freelancer will setup own skills and experiences, education for this activity. Upwork gives the tags to users like Rising Talent, Top Rated, Payment method verified/ verified plus according to their experiences.

The workflow is like the customer will create the project with description, budget, timelines, Number of proposals, and employees will bid on the same project at the same rate or personal rate using connects. Freelance can change the proposal rate even submitting the proposal.
After the client can accept/declined the offer, and the user will get the notification according to the same. If an employee/agency has been hired and completed the task, they can submit the project for payment, and the customer will end the contract with the submission of the fee.

Cons: Nothing to dislike with Upwork. It is beneficial to work with clients and taskers directly.

Overall: I'm delighted with Upwork. It provides a direct working platform—an open-source, cross-platform application. If you have skills and unable to go outside the city due to any personal reason, then Upwork will help to earn money based on your abilities and experiences.
