About Relay
Relay is customer messaging and appointment-operations software for salons, barbers, lash and brow studios, med spas, tattoo studios, pet groomers and other appointment businesses. It brings texts, email, calls, web chat, form inquiries, and connected Facebook and Instagram messages into a shared customer inbox. Businesses can publish booking links, sync calendars with Google Calendar, check availability for conflicts, send appointment reminders, prompt clients to rebook, and notify waitlisted customers when a slot opens. Automated workflows can text back missed callers and follow up with leads. Relay's AI can draft replies for staff approval or send automatic replies, depending on settings. The optional AI Front Desk answers calls and books appointments. The service also includes contact records, forms, pipelines, and API access on qualifying paid plans. Relay is web-based and connects to Martello's stack, including Mycel, its shared business knowledge layer.
