About

Termius is a modern SSH client designed to help developers and IT teams manage remote infrastructure efficiently. The platform provides a full-featured terminal with support for SSH, SFTP, port forwarding, and key management. Users can connect to servers instantly without repeatedly entering credentials, thanks to saved configurations and secure storage. Termius includes an encrypted vault that securely stores hosts, credentials, and configurations across devices. The tool also enables collaboration through shared vaults and team-based access controls. Features like session logs and terminal sharing allow teams to troubleshoot and work together in real time. By combining security, productivity tools, and cross-platform access, Termius simplifies remote server management for modern teams.

About

iTerm2 is a replacement for Terminal and the successor to iTerm. It works on Macs with macOS 10.14 or newer. iTerm2 brings the terminal into the modern age with features you never knew you always wanted. iTerm2 has a lot of features. Every conceivable desire a terminal user might have has been foreseen and solved. And these are just the main attractions! Divide a tab up into multiple panes, each one showing a different session. You can slice vertically and horizontally and create any number of panes in any imaginable arrangement. Register a hotkey that brings iTerm2 to the foreground when you're in another application. A terminal is always a keypress away. You can choose to have the hotkey open a dedicated window. This gives you an always-available terminal at your fingertips. iTerm2 comes with a robust find-on-page feature. The UI stays out of the way. All matches are immediately highlighted. Even regular expression support is offered!

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • iTerm2 is solid and reliable, with tons of features, I've barely scratched the surface. Triggers to run when text shows up in a terminal is really handy. An advanced but very useful feature is the native tmux integration, which makes your tmux tabs usable like regular tabs, no special keybindings and escapes to worry about.

Cons

  • Sometimes the window resizing or maximizing gets weird. Especially if using tmux integration. Not many other shortcomings.
