Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Absolutely love that SmallPDF is available through a web browser, meaning we do not need to download and install any software and that it is accessible anywhere we are regardless of which computer we are using. It has most the features we use for editing PDFs including inserting text and converting PDF files to Word, and it integrates nicely with Google Suite. The overall design and UX is also very slick and intuitive. The convenience of being able to convert to and from PDFs, along with a range of file manipulation options whenever I want, makes Smallpdf a no-brainer compared to the the huge expense and bloated nature of the market leader. It does exactly what I need it to do, 95% of the time, the balance is usually page "overflow" and not hard to rectify. How easy it is to use, and the price. Also, the style is beautiful. And you can compress the document right after editing and signing it. Cons Coming from someone who also uses Nitro Pro, SmallPDF is missing the feature to directly edit existing text and images on a PDF file while retaining original formatting. This means I have to occasionally revert back to Nitro Pro if I need to edit existing text and images on PDF files (as opposed to adding text or images to PDF files, which is what SmallPDF can do). The service could do with a custom option - there are tools I use all the time but there is no option to have shortcuts to these particular tools on the main menu. As a subscriber it would make sense to have that option rather than having to go through the whole list of tools to select the same thing each time. Conversion from pdf to jpg is not high resolution so the images do not stand up well on a web site. The Word to PDF conversion does not like "tight" pages and will overflow a two-page Word file into 3 pages of PDF, which can be frustrating but if you are aware of the problem then you can adjust the volume of copy accordingly to compensate. I would like to have more featured with editing my documents. The API itself is fast, user-friendly, and well-documented. A solid, reliable partner to work with. pdfRest is surely a business oriented PDF converter because it can convert all sorts of files, small and large, landscape or portrait, into splendid and crisp PDFs for all purposes. It is the best documentation tool in the market for creating, editing and converting office suite documents into PDF. Really liked its simple to use procedures. With pdfRest I am assured that all my word, excel and presentation files can be easily converted to PDF without migrating to other softwares. Really a reliable software with comprehensive features. It is an excellent PDF conversion tool that offers a wide range of features and functionality. The platform provides a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to convert PDF files to various formats such as Word, Excel, and HTML. Additionally, PDFRest offers a robust API that allows users to seamlessly integrate PDF functionalities into their applications. One of the standout features of PDFRest is its conversion speed. Multiple file upload options is missing or I didn't find the option, either ways would appreciate some guidance. I do not have complaints at the moment with regards to execution of the tool or its processes. OCR feature could have been a lovely add. I hope the makers add this feature soon. One area where the platform falls short is in its limited language support. PDFRest currently only supports English, which can be a significant limitation for users.
