"Truffa!!!" Edited 2026-05-18
Pros: No one is just a scam. Be careful, I only used their services once and paid one euro, but after a few weeks they charged me 49.99 euros. I never used the trial; in fact, I paid one euro for the one use I made. They refuse to refund the money, even via PayPal. They admitted the situation by email, but they won't refund the money. Scam.
Cons: I only used their services once and paid one euro, but after a few weeks they charged me 49.99 euros. I never used the trial; in fact, I paid one euro for the one use I made. They refuse to refund the money, even via PayPal. They admitted the situation by email, but they won't refund the money. Scam.
Overall: I think it's s necessary to denounce this company to authority. Many people are writing everywhere without a solution!

"Bad formatting, bad font recognition, missing due payment notifications" Posted 2026-05-11
Pros: I haven't had time to appreciate any, I tried one simple thing (see description in the Cons) and it failed.
Cons: After I downloaded my document in PDF, the font I chose when I edited the document was inexplicably not preserved, although I used only standard fonts and tried multiple times to fix it.
Then when I tried downloading it in Word format, it misinterpreted many letters, symbols, and spaces.
Last but not least, you won't receive any emails notifying you that the 7-day free trial is ending and that you are going to be charged.Overall: Negative experience, I'm never going to use it again. Check the Cons for a more detailed explanation.

"Scammers" Posted 2026-05-01
Pros: Nothing good, they are a scammers, just make sure you block you bank card after dealing with them..
Cons: They take advantage of people's card details, be careful...
Overall: I am compelled to speak out about this matter regarding this company’s billing practices. There have been multiple reports, including discussions on Reddit, from individuals who claim they were charged unexpectedly without prior notification.
In my case, funds were deducted from my account without any warning. However, when requesting a refund, the company quickly referred to its policies. This raises a critical concern: why are these policies not applied when it comes to notifying customers before deductions are made?
Transparency and proper consent should be standard in any business transaction. Deducting funds without clear communication undermines trust and exposes customers to unnecessary financial risk.
I strongly urge individuals and business owners to exercise caution when sharing their card details. If you have already provided your banking information, it is advisable to monitor your account closely and take the necessary steps to protect yourself. -

"They rob you quietly and hide behind their ToS" Posted 2026-04-29
Pros: PDF Guru stole $50 from me. No warning, no refund. Pure predatory billing. Avoid at all costs.
You're gambling your entire reputation for a few lousy dollars!Cons: DO NOT subscribe to PDF Guru unless you enjoy being robbed quietly.
They renewed my subscription for $50 without sending any prior notification - no email, no reminder, nothing. By the time I noticed the charge, it was too late to cancel. The service was not used during the entire billing period.
When I contacted support and politely requested a refund as a goodwill gesture, they hid behind their terms of service and refused. Apparently, silently charging customers is perfectly fine in their book.
This is not how legitimate businesses operate. This is predatory billing designed to catch you off guard. They count on you not noticing.
I have initiated a chargeback through my payment provider. I am also reporting this practice to consumer protection authorities.
Stay far away from PDF Guru. There are dozens of free and honest alternatives that don't need to trick you to make money.Overall: How the hell can you be okay with making money like some two-bit crook? Have you no shame whatsoever?

"Money made off hidden automatic renewals" Edited 2026-04-04
Pros: It did what other free pdf converters do. It is mediocre at best. It exists solely as a basic product to trick people into $50 per month automatic renewal charges
Cons: They steal by hiding a $49.99 MONTHLY automatic review for their mediocre program that you can get for free elsewhere
Overall: I feel I was robbed. This is just an internet scam for the unwary. Beware, and please spread the word

"Scam subscription" Posted 2026-03-22
Pros: Scam tactics to get subscriptions, which it then won't refund. It is not enough that it charged for the pdf it made, it automatically subscribed me.
Cons: Refusal to refund. Fraudulent practices. Seems legitimate but ultimately a way of scamming people through prescription.
Overall: Poor on all the fronts. Nothing good to say. Polite customer service that reiterates the fraudulent practice.

"BUYER BEWARE" Posted 2026-02-24
Pros: I purchased a one off limited 7 day access for 0.99 usd. I only required the product for the one time hence why i purchased the lowest possible. Mind you it advertised as FREE conversion but obviously that is just one of many loop holes this company has found. A week late i was charged a further 49.99 usd for nothing. The fine print is not clear. As if you look at reviews you will see many of us caught out by this deception. PDF Guru refused to refund so I have had to now escalate this with my bank in the hopes of getting my $73 aud back. They refused a refund but offered me 2 years FREE access? WTF? Do not use this company.
Cons: Will not refund for services that you never purchased and didn't know would happen. Make random automated payments from your account. BUYER BEWARE
Overall: TERRIBLE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. VERY DECEPTIVE. BUYER BEWARE. YOU WILL BE OUT OF POCKET WAY MORE THAN WHAT YOU THINK

"Fraudster company" Posted 2026-02-05
Pros: There is nothing to report positive about such a fraudsters. The pros is they are good at many people fool.
Cons: I had an extremely negative experience with this company and strongly advise others to avoid them. I signed up for a service and paid a small initial fee, but the service did not deliver what was promised or what I reasonably expected.
On top of that, I was charged €49.99 for an annual subscription that I never knowingly agreed to. This charge came as a complete surprise and felt deeply misleading and unfair.Overall: In my personal experience, the app was useless for my needs, and the billing practices left me feeling deceived. I recommend staying well away from this company and its app.

"Avoid " Edited 2026-02-03
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: I spent 0.99 as a one off payment for a PDF to word document which wasn’t useable. A week later they ‘stole’ £49.99 from my account and have refused to return it to me. I now have the unfortunate task of looking at taking legal action. Please don’t use this company.
Overall: Avoid at all costs.

Cons: They initiate recurring payment which you do not agree to.
Overall: Complete scam. You sign up for a trial and then they scam you and keep charging you. Do not trust or use.

"A cunning deceptive scam" Posted 2026-01-14
Pros: Nothing to like about this thievery. They've developed a cunning plan to extract a lot of money from trial users without their knowledge. It's criminal.
Cons: Their deception in order to steal money from unaware victims.
Overall: Beware of this deceitful, cunning scam, trickery at its finest, get a once off file converted for $1.99, months later you find out the crooks have been stealing money from you bank account monthly $50USD for absolutely nothing in return, then they have the hide to tell you you missed the fine print, and that you actually signed up for a monthly subscription to be stolen from your bank account at their will, and to top it of PayPal says it's fine, you're on your own buddy, nothing to see here, absolute brazen theft by these slimey crooks and PayPal to boot.

"DO NOT TAKE THE BAIT" Posted 2025-12-30
Pros: Service was great for the one page I converted but it wasn't worth $52. I would never trust this company again.
Cons: I didn't mind paying for the trial period of $1.99 but they don't operate like other sites. They CONVENIENTLY add "fine print" hoping no one reads it. After being charged a non-refundable $49.99, I tried to cancel so they charged AGAIN for $.99 For every person scammed, they make $52 then send an email telling you "sorry"! They make a lot of money off of this scam.
Overall: I'd rather not!!! I have absolutely nothing good to say about this company. Wish I had read these reviews before donating to them.

"I was scammed" Posted 2025-12-27
Pros: Nothing!
I used the service for a form translation, and I was asked to pay 1 Euro for a 7 day trial. Which I figured was ok, so I was dumb enough to do it. The result was piss poor, the "translated" version of my PDF was identical to the original form! No translation.Cons: THIS IS A SCAM! They make you sign up for a 7 day trial, and in invisible font in the footer, it is hidden that they will charge you 50 Euros per month per the end of the trial. Once you sing up, there is no confirmation per email or other receipt that makes it clear they are scamming you. Stay away from this company! There are other options that don't screw you over.
Overall: I was scammed by this company as so many others. I had a one time need to translate a PDF form. Tried PDF Guru, and before showing me the result of the translation, I was asked to pay 1 Euro for a 7-day trial. Big letters about what I was opting in for, and only after the scam occurred to me did I go back and discovered how they have hidden the monthly subscription of 50 Euros per months in the footer text with nearly invisible font (grey and small, inside the typical terms and conditions that they know nobody reads!). Of course, nothing like a confirmation by email or anything else that would induce me to cancel within the 7 day window...

I contacted customer service within minutes of my card getting charged, and of course there's no refund. So clearly, this business is based in tricking people like me to click and pay for a one time need, and secretly lure them into a crazy subscription that no sane private person would accept.
Perhaps with mentioning: The translation I needed completely failed!Reply from PDF Guru
