Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros It's actually helped me to become a better writer. There are so many reports and different features, all of which provide excellent information. It's fairly intuitive and has helpful pop-up suggestions displayed in your text. You can customize the analysis by genre and even compare your writing to a well-known author. Lots of charts and graphs to provide overviews. Has great ability to focus in on the worst errors. Many of the features go far beyond simple spelling and grammar checks: Style suggestions, duplications, clichés, overused phrases, too many to name here, but as I said, it made me a better writer by far. I use the browser based free version of ProWritingAid for every piece of material I write. It's decent on finding grammatical errors with punctuation, etc. It's especially wonderful for picking up on typos and mistakenly typed words that our eyes tend to skip over, for example: typing "form" when you meant "from." It goes a step beyond grammar and can flag issues like passive voice, which is helpful if you have a difficult time seeing it in your own writing. I find PWAs cloud version works much better than Grammarly, which I could not get to work properly on my computer. Cons A bit slow loading large documents. I would like better control over sections written in regional or other dialects. I wish there were an easy way to download and print the many reports available. If there is, I haven't found it. The overall summary report can be downloaded/printed, but there are so many others. I would like the changes I make within the uploaded document to be tracked in Word's change tracker. Like any AI product, it will make wrong choices, but doesn't change anything automatically, so you can easily ignore an incorrect suggestion. A percentage of the suggestions are incorrect--I'd guess perhaps 20%--so you need a fairly good foundation in grammar to know when to ignore PWA's suggestions. Or you can at least flag the change to ask your editor. I don't think the full program is worth the price, but it might be if you find it on sale. In addition to its rewrite feature, Wordtune also helps me generate sentences or paragraphs from scratch based on my keywords or context. This has been particularly helpful when I need writing inspiration or guidance. With Wordtune, I can easily generate new ideas and content that fits perfectly into my writing. This platform can also summarize long texts, articles, PDFs, or even YouTube videos into concise bullet points or paragraphs. This is a time-saving feature that has helped me quickly get to the main idea of any piece of content. This feature has been particularly useful when I need to read long articles or watch videos for research purposes. I also appreciate that Wordtune offers a free plan that allows me to use the basic rewrite feature of up to 20 sentences per day. However, I found the premium plan, which gives me unlimited access to all features and more customization options, to be well worth the investment. With the premium plan, I can use Wordtune to its full potential and save even more time. I find Wordtune's easy-to-use interface and simple installation process a big plus. I can easily use it on any website or platform that supports text input, such as Google Docs, Gmail, WordPress, and more. Overall, I recommend Wordtune to anyone who wants to improve their writing and save time in the process. I lot to use it to bounce ideas and get suggestions. The new spices feature is really cool because I can write a simple sentence and then add some additional sentences using Wordtune's AI. * It has multiple functions that allow you to paraphrase a text, so to speak. This platform not only allows you to write a sentence or text, but it also gives the sentence more breadth or also cuts, in addition to having a more formal or informal text, making the latter maintain a different communication when conversing with someone in the workplace than with someone who is in a more personal environment, ensuring that there are no misunderstandings with the person who is communicating in this case, a client with whom an agreement is being reached. In the event that the paraphrasing offered by this platform does not fully engage, you can change words for their synonyms that Wordtune itself offers, so there will be no problem when you want to change one word for another, but you can almost automatically have that information of each word. * It's wonderful how Wordtune Spices works since I often have writer's block when translating an idea into text, if I don't know how to continue or finish a sentence, this tool provides me with different ideas according to the already written text, so the main idea is not lost. I like that it can work with artificial intelligence since they are not pre-established texts, but rather everything is built based on what I have previously written, making everything match up and make more sense, being able to continue with what I was writing. I like that it has several modes of use since I can choose between defining something, going through providing analytical data (although sometimes you have to check said data so that there is no inconsistency and that everything is true) and you can also explain something in more detail without losing the meaning of the sentence, I even thought it was great that jokes can even be included in the text and that in turn the sentence does not sound so informal, making it look more processional in the work habit. I like all the tones that you can choose to be able to correct the ideas that I have raised from my text. I have several ways in which it gives me support to have a formal or casual tone, this is a big difference When communicating something since it is not similar to communicating information to a colleague or the company what to a client or another business. Also, within the same tool, I cannot select the width of the text. This gives me the possibility of adding more valuable information that can lead to a better understanding of what I want to convey. Likewise, if I want to reduce words from the large amount of written text then the tool can also reduce them to a precise and concise shorter term. I like that the platform can be integrated with most websites or tools that include text, this is essential for a company since the way of writing makes the difference between a serious company and a company that does not have it and a company that which does not have a marked professionalism. The integrations are very useful, for example, the conversations in Slack, since it is true that in the app you can have an orderly and structured communication, there are times when users do not have a good grammatical experience. The same could happen on LinkedIn or email sent to a client like So having this platform is an advantage since you can have spell checks at a professional level or if you don't want so much formal text you can change to an informal one to have a more communication fluid between familiar people. This platform cannot be natively integrated into all other platforms that have text input, however the easiest way to integrate this platform into any other platform website would be through the browser extension. the only platform available that has direct integration is the Microsoft Office tools, this allows faster document review than having it as this extension for browsers, therefore, it is essential to have it in any company where formal writing is required. See below. Cons Wordtune does not focus on being a grammar checker or a proofing tool. It does not detect spelling or punctuation errors or suggest corrections for them. This means that you may need to use another tool like Grammarly or ProWritingAid for that purpose, which can be inconvenient and time consuming. It does not work offline or on mobile devices. You need an internet connection and a browser to use it. This means that if you don't have internet access or are using a mobile device, you can't use Wordtune. Also, Wordtune does not have a desktop app or mobile app, which may be limiting for some users. Sometimes their suggestions are not always accurate or relevant. While the platform offers multiple rewrite options for any sentence, it can sometimes change the meaning or tone of your original text or provide suggestions that don't fit the context. This means that you should review the suggestions carefully before applying them to your writing, which can be time consuming and may require additional editing and proofreading. I wish they had an outline builder. I mean I write my own outlines usually, but sometimes for landing pages I prefer to outline using a tool. * I don't really like that it has full access to the keyboard since it can cause sensitive user data to leak, by this I mean the iOS application since in order to use this platform with mobile applications you have to give full access to it. keyboard, therefore, everything I write will be registered by this platform, being very insecure. I understand that this platform needs writing data to be able to recommend suggestions, however, it should have a mode in which it is a separate keyboard which can only be used in certain applications or that is easy to change in case it is needed when sensitive information such as passwords will be entered. For me, security is important, so I don't think it's very safe to say that we have an application that is tracking everything that is written, since it can be dangerous for any user, even more so if a vulnerability is found. * There is no application in the Play Store so I do want to use this application on my Android phone which I use to do my work I will not be able to do it, so I have to use this platform via the web with all the sites which has to use Wordtune to improve what I want to communicate. Wordtune is not available to be used offline, so if a constant internet connection is required since if it is not there, it does not work. Regardless of whether it is available for the desktop version of Office, it is not possible to make corrections if you do not have an internet connection, which also has to be stable, otherwise the writing suggestions will not take long to arrive. So this point of opinion must be taken into account since if a text correction software is required that can be used offline Wordtune is not the indicated platform since at the moment there has not been any indication that in future updates you can use this tool to correct text.
