Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Easy to Use – Simple setup and minimal configuration required. Fast and Lightweight – Optimized for performance with minimal latency. Multiple Protocol Support – Works with HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, and WebSockets. Public URLs for Localhost – Quickly generate a public URL to test or share local projects. No Signup Required – Can be used without creating an account. Affordable Pricing – Competitive pricing compared to alternatives like Ngrok. Works Behind NAT & Firewalls – Can expose local servers even if they are behind a firewall or NAT. SSH Support – Some versions allow SSH tunneling. Customization Options – Supports custom subdomains and persistent tunnels. Useful for Webhooks & API Testing – Ideal for testing webhook integrations on local environments.
  • Very fast integration with my jupyter notebook I liked the low-code feature. It was easy and fast as there was no installation. Great alternative to ngrok
  • No need to download anything. Just use the single command to start tunneling. It makes remote access very easy.

Cons

  • Nothing much really but will like more features, overall great.
  • Could not find any yet. The pricing is also much better than ngrok but could have been even cheaper.
  • As a student, I think no cons are to using Pinggy.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • - We migrated a very big netviz project, the result was 99% the same like netviz, only a small amount of manual work needed. - The basic features are very similar like in netviz, so the team were able to use netTerrain immediately. - By integration, we can automatically keep the diagrams up to date.
  • Easy documentation functions and open API to integrate to our CMDB and inventory systems to retrieve data.

Cons

  • - Some protocols are missing from discovery tool, like CDP, LLDP.
  • Would like to see stronger GIS functionalities even as an add-on.
