About
Picotap is a pixel-art drawing and animation app for creating sprites, icons, and small graphics on iPhone, iPad, Android, and Mac. On touchscreens, users move a cursor from a trackpad-style swipe area below the canvas, keeping a finger from covering the pixel being edited; Mac users can draw with a mouse or trackpad. Tools include shapes, selection and transform controls, reference-image tracing, patterned fills, dither patterns, and palettes of 1 to 256 colors. Create animations with up to 64 frames, onion skinning, and eight layers, then export PNG images or GIF and APNG animations. The app includes autosave, backup and restore, nine drawing lessons on lines, shapes, and color, and a Daily Theme with a sketch to trace. It requires no account and supports 13 languages. Picotap is free with all features; an optional one-time purchase removes ads on supported mobile versions.

About
SpriteCook is an AI art tool that helps game developers create artwork around their own ideas. It’s built for the ongoing process of making a game: exploring a visual direction, trying different looks, and adding new assets as the project takes shape.
You can start with a description or reference image and develop a style that suits your game. Themes and saved presets help you carry that direction into later work, so adding a new enemy or inventory item doesn’t mean starting from scratch each time. SpriteCook supports pixel art and other 2D styles, giving you room to experiment with the look of your project.
Animation is part of that workflow too. You can take generated or uploaded artwork, describe how it should move, and export the result as a sprite sheet for your game engine. This makes it useful for testing how a character looks and feels in motion alongside the mechanics you’re building.
