Pros from Real Users Pros Love the simplicity and customization of the product, its very easy to get devices monitored and to modify nearly anything. Being able to mass modify interfaces really saves time and the notifications are now business critical at my facility. The support is second to none if you run into issues, the BGP monitoring and integrated IPAM/Syslog really set TotalView a cut above their competitors. Installation is quick and easy. Configuration is very straight forward and easy. Gives you a "TotalView" of your network and equipment. Can be up and running in a matter of minutes. PathSolutions has been a wonderful product for us and the support is great. It's very easy to get in contact with someone at path solutions when you require assistance. Right off the top, the ease of configuration and understanding the information available was the most import aspect for me with TotalView. The software aggregates information on multiple devices in a way that makes narrowing down a network issue much more effective. In addition, syslog and Netflow views are available right from the device pages speeding up information that is critical to a strong network foundation. Quick and good information. Works well when you need to get some good information on devices. Decent product. This is one of the easiest-to-install network monitoring and management systems ever. Anyone can get this up and running in under 15 minutes and, depending on your network, can be fully productive in under a day. We currently have 5 techs monitoring and managing 160 network switches in 50 buildings across 2 campuses and this is their #1 tool for monitoring, troubleshooting, and fixing issues. The user interface is clean, simple and fast which makes it extremely easy to find and resolve issues. One of the best features is the network prescription that will not only identify issues but provide you with an easy-to-understand explanation of the issue and how to resolve it. I have been using PathSolutions for 15+ years. It has been a great product. I would recommend it to any IT Admin. Price...Installation, initial configuration and training with Cris and Amy lasted until all my questions were answered. We run a call center with 80% remote users. Troubleshooting VOIP with WireShark or SNGREP is cool and all, but tech has other issues to solve. TotalView is running on my monitor, alerts are configured and I get better sleep. Ease of use, completeness of features, ability to determine issues quickly, monitoring interfaces and links, MOS Tools, Interface histories, IP management, GREMLIN history!!! Feature rich. Sematext has helped us keeping a tight monitoring on our database and our cloud servers that helps us to stay updated with latest threats and any abnormality in our database or our cloud servers. It detects anomaly if there is any in a much lesser time and we can act upon it soon. Another thing that it monitor for us is the IT Infrastructure among which application monitoring and performance monitoring is included under it. Log Management is another feature of this tool which keeps up updated with audit trails, data visualisation and remediation. IT Infrastructure Monitoring is at its best. Log Management is beyond comparison. Reporting and Analytics made easier. Performance Monitoring of apps and devices. Full system troubleshooting and data trends analysis makes it more perfect. Customer support is much supportive. With Sematext Cloud you get full visibility over servers, networks, application performance, and Container. It helps to maintain the best fitness of our tech infrastructure. Sematext's PagerDuty integration allows me to share metrics with the team. This software helps us in constant monitoring of our it infrastructure and our network servers and making out any problem if it persist and troubleshoot them out. Dashboard can be customized for a better usage and user experience with keeping important things in front page of the dashboard. This tool is tailored to meet our full requirements, ranging from it monitoring to log management to APM to budget planning. Cons It needs work to get admin logging in the Sematext interface. I had hoped that the free tier's retention duration was a little bit longer. The learning curve for logsene searching is quite high. It can be confusing and occasionally cause the website to load slowly when logs, events, and metrics are all displayed on one page. Deployment with the tool is little tricky which would require their team to guide properly to get through all the features. Nothing as such, for any problem, there is an excellent customer support team. I've not had a single bad experience with this platform. It's been a great tool for us and no such issues have been found yet.
