Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros - Clean, minimal interface - Ability to work completely offline - Ability to view different layers of PDF documents Only cross-platform PDF Editor. The functionality is good, and I would not hesitate to recommend the product if not for the stupid direction they are going under the new owner. Feature-Rich: PDF Studio offers extensive PDF editing and annotation tools. User-Friendly Interface: The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. Robust Annotation Tools: Includes various tools for document review and collaboration. Pencil feature - This works well on my surface pro. I can use the pen to draw and write comments on documents, and the marker to highlight text. Page resize - I have used this to resize from A4 to letter. As well as resizing the page, you can also scale the contents which is very handy! Redacting - I have used the redaction feature to cut sensitive information from documents. I was able to mark the areas to be redacted and then apply them in one hit. Works great! It does everything you need from a Professional PDF Editor (like Adobe Pro DC) but without the stupid monthly subscription that places like Adobe would charge you. Cons - Small controls sometimes hard to see in bright daylight The Apryse support department has gone downhill - they will not even test the product when a bug report is filed with an example file, insisting that the user jump through hoops including reinstalling the product and showing screenshots of what was done, even when there is only one way to do the thing described in the report. The new owner does not honour the perpetual licence conditions, which included free point release updates, and discounted annual upgrades, insisting that users go onto a more expensive subscription just to get what they already paid for. The user interface has regressed, replacing window decorations with their own and not picking up colours or settings from the selected theme and thereby losing integration with the system user interface, both visually and in the way the windows respond to user interaction. Performance Issues: May struggle with large or complex PDF files. Support and Documentation: Less extensive support and documentation compared to Adobe. Not Open-Source: Requires a paid license and is not open-source. Sometimes the 'Edit text' tool can be tricky, but I was able to find the content in the sidebar and edit it there. Also, I think the icon could perhaps be different. It's not the prettiest UI in the world but I can live with that :)	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros The team at PDFrest is incredibly helpful — they respond quickly, clearly, and even took individual feature requests into account without delay. The API itself is fast, user-friendly, and well-documented. A solid, reliable partner to work with. pdfRest is surely a business oriented PDF converter because it can convert all sorts of files, small and large, landscape or portrait, into splendid and crisp PDFs for all purposes. It is the best documentation tool in the market for creating, editing and converting office suite documents into PDF. Really liked its simple to use procedures. With pdfRest I am assured that all my word, excel and presentation files can be easily converted to PDF without migrating to other softwares. Really a reliable software with comprehensive features. It is an excellent PDF conversion tool that offers a wide range of features and functionality. The platform provides a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to convert PDF files to various formats such as Word, Excel, and HTML. Additionally, PDFRest offers a robust API that allows users to seamlessly integrate PDF functionalities into their applications. One of the standout features of PDFRest is its conversion speed. The platform can convert large PDF files quickly and accurately, saving users valuable time and effort. Moreover, PDFRest's API is versatile and flexible, providing users with the ability to customize and automate their PDF workflows easily. Cons The team at PDFrest is incredibly helpful — they respond quickly, clearly, and even took individual feature requests into account without delay. The API itself is fast, user-friendly, and well-documented. A solid, reliable partner to work with. Multiple file upload options is missing or I didn't find the option, either ways would appreciate some guidance. I do not have complaints at the moment with regards to execution of the tool or its processes. OCR feature could have been a lovely add. I hope the makers add this feature soon. One area where the platform falls short is in its limited language support. PDFRest currently only supports English, which can be a significant limitation for users.
