Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Orange Logic is the only Digital Asset Management Platform (DAM) worth using. They are the only few DAMs that offer: • Asset AI Meta Tagging for Video and Image • Best for enterprise companies, small & large, don't get charge by the user seat. • White Glove service, every business is unique and they were the only solution that offered what we needed and how we wanted it to be customized for our company. • Easy to use platform and it does the work itself, I spend 1 hour a week managing everything. • Custom Integrations with our Software and Online Tools. It is very intuitive to use - both front and back-end. It is easy to configure and adaptable. The support team is responsive. Cortex makes it easy to upload, share, and download media files. It integrates with the Adobe suite and allows for our creative team to work remotely off proxy files. It's a flexible platform, and our integration team has been a joy to work with. The ease of creating multiple metadata mappings and the ability to batch edit on every field are considerable upsides to Cortex. These features work with relative ease compared to other products I've used over the years. My favorite feature of Orange Logic \| Cortex is their ticketing system, Link, where I can raise a defect, ask a question or request an enhancement. I can assign priorities ranging from critical to normal or even long-term. At any time I can log onto Link to see their status. Answered tickets are archived, so I have a complete picture of our evolving digital asset management system. Cons The only thing I was unhappy with was the time it took them to create our DAM system, but after the time it took to get it up and going, I can proudly say it was worth the wait for the setup. The system itself is excellent, but I think we all know it's the most low-cost system, which does cause some friction internally. I'm getting really nit-picky here, but I'd love for Cortex to support additional S3 storage tiers to save money on our cloud storage bill. It's on their roadmap though You can tell that Cortex was built to accommodate a wide variety of use cases. While that may play well for Orange Logic in attracting customers, it can be an overbearing product for end users. It took me several months to wade through the sea of Cortex functionality and hone in on what worked for my needs. Once you get through that, the product does well, but it feels like Cortex tries to be too many things at once. Orange Logic \| Cortex is a very granular, robust product. I know that I'm missing out on some features, but as the only power user, I simply don't have time to delve into all of them.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros So easy to get your images and logos inside PPT. I, and my colleagues, save so much time browsing around our mutual Dropbox folder looking for the right logo or pic. Pickit reminds me how easy it should have been all this time. Pickit is super easy to use, and intuitive. Setting it up was really quick and we've hardly had to do any training, as it's so user-friendly. I love the fact that we always know where to go to find the latest marketing material, and that it's always approved and curated for the different channels we use it for. Just super easy to set up. Super intuitive. And perhaps the best, it turned my Dropbox and Sharepoint structure into a full DAM system. Cons Their own image library is good but could be better. I would really like to see some more up to date images that feels modern to a startup company like ours. When I first started using Pickit, most of the integrations were for Microsoft, but recently they've added support for Google Slides and Docs, and there are also integrations for Dropbox, Adobe and a bunch of other services we use. The built in Stock library might be a bit limited but you can connect your existing plan from any of the larger stock images providers like Shutterstock.
