Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Lucid makes building mind maps and systems charts easy and you can get things looking decent with a little elbow grease. * Many technical templates built in * Integration with BambooHR org chart * Additional integrations / ability to easily import from outside sources Browser based UI easy to operate from any device. Multiple templates in free version making it possible to complete what you need. Easy sharing making collaboration smooth. You can customize and make your own graphics from scratch, but what I really liked about Lucidchart is the amount of default templates they had to work with, and the wide range of subject/themes for them. So much professionally software is very heavily designed around a corporate office environment. It's nice to see some educational related templates in there! It's cloud-based and very easy to use. You can get started with your diagram right away. The virtual tour in the beginning is helpful. There are hundreds of templates to choose from, which really saves you time. The automatic alignment of lines and arrows is really helpful. Collaboration is easy. You can also easily create and save custom shapes and designs and use them in future works. My favorite part is the export with transparent background option. Cons It's not the best on design side as far as choice of colors, fonts and custom shapes. * Expensive * Renewal was a mess * Admin portal was buggy for awhile Plotting is sometimes clumsy. Should have offline working and sync later on. If you had the know how, you can definitely make charts and graphics much nicer than this in other programs, so this is very much designed for someone who only needs the basics for whatever they're doing. It can also be cumbersome at times when editing one of their templates. The same automatic alignment of lines and arrows has caused me trouble when working with smaller shapes, as it gets difficult to get it to point where you want. The user interface is not that intuitive either.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Nothing - software download wasn't working for days. Had contacted customer support, finally got it installed only to find out it is not compatible with OSX 10.15. Fails to launch. Emailed customer support to see if the system requirements are for Big Sur or not. Short learning curve and easy to understand steps. Great practical starter templates and the ability to create your own. I own an IT services company and need to create network maps and floorplans for our network installs documentation. I had been using another product (initials SD) for many years, but it was getting dated, and not always the easiest to use. This year I discovered MyDraw and found it to be a superior product in every aspect for my needs. The learning curve is pretty quick, but the power and flexibility is almost unlimited. Creating and modifying network diagrams was much faster, and it's also very easy to import your own artwork or photos to really customize the equipment. My clients have commented how professional our network documentation packages are, and MyDraw helps us create the visuals quickly and cost-effectively. One of the HUGE features that MyDraw offers, which I will be using on a regular basis, is the floor plan library. If I had to add one major feature to that other app, this would have been it! Super helpful for my usage. Superior Customization. Easy User face. Variety of Templates. This offline solution have plenty of templates to start with, clean user interface, plenty of design options and fantastic set of libraries with design elements. Import and export works perfectly. Just to explain, for example, a line tool options You need 30 minutes or more. Cons Won't run on OSX 10.15. Have to modify the launch settings ini file in the resource directory to disable Mac fonts. It feels like ported and patch-job here. I don't see anything negative about MyDraw. Please keep improving it as you go forward. Being that this is primarily a business app, I was surprised to not find any type of basic business rooms in the floor plan library. The other major omission in the floor plan area is basic architectural objects, e.g. doors, windows, electric outlets, data and phone ports. I am basically having to create these myself, which makes this a little more time-consuming until I build up my own library of those types of shapes. A lot to take in right away. Almost overwhelming if you don't go step by step. User interface is an excellent one, but gear icon, for more option, is really unnecessary. Loading time should be shorter.
